Roxithromycin Tablets
Roxithromycin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat respiratory tract, urinary and soft tissue infections. Roxithromycin is derived from erythromycin, containing the same 14-membered lactone ring.
Roxithromycin Tablet is used to treat infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug. These include: infection of the upper respiratory tract (including tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis media); infection of lower respiratory tract (pneumonia, including atypical pneumonia); infection of the urogenital tract (except for gonococcal infections); infections of skin and soft tissue; odontogenic infection; acute gastroenteritis; suodenal ulcer and chronic gastritis; chronic prostatitis; and prevention of rheumatic fever.
