Frusemide Tablets
Frusemide (furosemide) is a loop diuretic which acts by reducing the reabsorption of sodium and water at the levels of the proximal convoluted tubule, ascending limb of Henle's loop and the distal convoluted tubule.
Frusemide Tablets are indicated in adults and pediatric patients for the treatment of edema associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and renal impairment, including the nephrotic syndrome.
Frusemide tablets are particularly useful when an agent with greater diuretic potential is desired. Oral frusemide tablets is also used for the treatment of hypertension alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents.
