Dexamethasone Acetate Tablets
Dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid used to treat many inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis.Dexamethasone acts as an anti-inflammatory in various conditions, including collagen diseases and allergic states. It is also a treatment of certain skin conditions, asthma, and other lung conditions. Dexamethasone is used specifically to decrease swelling (edema), associated with tumors of the spine and brain, and to treat eye inflammation. Dexamethasone treats or prevents allergic reactions.
As treatment for a variety of cancers, such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma, Dexamethasone is used to treat nausea and vomiting associated with some chemotherapy drugs. Dexamethasone is used to stimulate appetite in cancer patients with severe appetite problems.
