Norfloxacin Tablets
Norfloxacin is a synthetic, chemotherapeutic and broad-spectrumantibacterial agent for oral administration. Norfloxacin is in a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones used in adults to treat bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
Norfloxacin Tablets are used to treat common as well as complicated upper and lowerurinary tract infections including cystitis, pyelitis, cystopyelitis and pyelonephritis, certain sexually transmitted diseases, and uncomplicated urethral and cervical gonorrhea due to Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Norfloxacin is also a treatment for prostatitis due to Escherichia coli, bacillary dysentery, cholecystitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, acute tonsillitis, and skin and soft tissue infections.
