Sodium bicarbonate, or sodium hydrogen carbonate, is an antacid that neutralizes stomach acid.

Sodium bicarbonate tablets used to relieve heartburn and acid indigestion. Sodium bicarbonate is also used to make the blood and urine less acidic in certain conditions.
