Oxacillin is an antibiotic in the penicillin group of drugs. Oxacillin works by blocking the growth of the bacterias cell wall, resulting in the death of the bacteria.

Oxacillin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as a staphylococcal infection.
