Mitomycin C Powder for Injection
Mitomycin C is an antineoplastic and antitumor antibiotic chemotherapydrug produced by Streptomyces caespitosus. It works by sticking thecancer cell?s DNA together so that it cannot come apart again. The cell cannot divide so the cancer cannot grow.
Mitomycin C is given intravenously to treat upper gastro-intestinal (e.g. esophageal carcinoma), rectal cancers, pancreatic, neck cancers, cervix cancers, lung cancers, and breast cancers, as well as by bladder instillation for superficial bladder tumours.
