Idarubicin Hydrochloride Powder for Injection
Idarubicin, or 4-demethoxydaunorubicin, is an anthracycline antileukemic drug. It belongs to the family of drugs called antitumor antibiotics. It inserts itself into DNA and prevents DNA from unwinding by interfering with the enzyme topoisomerase II.
Idarubicin Hydrochloride Powder for Injection, in combination with other approved antileukemic drugs (such as cytosine arabinoside) is indicated for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults.
