Dactinomycin Powder for Injection
The actinomycins are a class of polypeptide antibiotics isolated from soil bacteria of the genus Streptomyces, of which the most significant is actinomycin D, or Dactinomycin. Dactinomycin is a type of antibiotic that is only used in cancer chemotherapy. It slows or stops the growth ofcancer cells in your body.
Dactinomycin is used as a treatment for Wilms? tumors, Ewing sarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, trophoblastic neoplasms, and metastatic nonseminomatous testicular carcinoma. It is also indicated as a single agent, or as part of a combination chemotherapy regimen for to treat gestational trophoblasticneoplasia. Dantinomycin is a palliative that can be used alone and/or adjunctive treatment of recurrent or locoregional solid malignancies.
