Rifampicin Capsules
Rifampicin, also known as Rifampin, is a bactericidal antibiotic drugderivative of rifamycin. Rifampicin is an antibacterial and antifungalagent used in the treatment of mycobacterial infections, actinomycosis and histoplasmosis.
Rifampicin Capsule eliminates bacteria that cause tuberculosis (TB) or to eliminate Neisseria meningitidis (a bacteria) and to prevent you from giving these infections to others. However, rifampacin is not used to treat Neisseria meningitidis infection.
Rifampicin (Rifampin) is also used to treat leprosy and has a role in the treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in combination with fusidic acid. Additionally, this medication is also used to treat listeria species, neisseria gonorrhoeae, haemophilus influenzae and legionella pneumophila.
