Norfloxacin is in a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. Norfloxacin is a synthetic chemotherapeutic agent used to treat common as well as complicated urinary tract infections and prostate infections.
Norfloxacin is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections.
