Product Information

Artesunate is an antimalarial agent. It is a water-soluble hemisuccinate derivative of dihydroartemisinin.

Artesunate Oral Suspension is developed for killing the erythrocytic stage of plasmodium asexual form. It is effective to malaria caused by chloroquine resistant stain of Plasmodium falciparum and is resistant to all other antimalarial drugs. Artesunate does not have hypnozoiticidal activity. It reduces gametocyte carriage rate.
