Timolol maleate is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker.
Timolol Maleate Eye Drops is used to treat elevated intraocular pressurein patients with primary open-angle glaucoma and occasionally secondary glaucoma, ocular hypertension. It works by reducing aqueous humour production through blockage of the beta receptors on the ciliary epithelium.
